Young & Restless Recasts Noah Newman Role With Former Dool Actor

The Young and the Restless is shaking up Genoa City once again with another major casting. This time, the long-running CBS soap is recasting the role of Noah Newman, and it has tapped a familiar face from the daytime world to step in.

Lucas Adams, best known for his run on Days of Our Lives (Dool) as Tripp Dalton, is reportedly joining The Young and the Restless cast as Noah Newman. It’s an exciting return to daytime for the two-time Daytime Emmy nominee as well as the fans.

Adams’ soap career kicked off in 2017 when he debuted on Days of Our Lives as the troubled yet sweet Tripp Dalton, the son of Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Ava Vitale (Tamara Braun). Over the years, Tripp grew into his role as a doctor and became a fan favorite, with Adams earning recognition for his layered performance. His on-again, off-again run lasted until 2024.

Now, he steps into the shoes of Noah Newman, the son of Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case). Noah was last seen in 2023, when he left Genoa City with Allie Abbott Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) to start fresh overseas. The character, who was born onscreen in 1997, has been played by several actors, most recently Rory Gibson, who played the role from 2021 to 2023 before moving on to General Hospital as Michael Corinthos.
