Icelandic filmmaker Baltasar Kormákur is quietly putting together a nice canon of survival thrillers, more than 10 years after he tackled the true story of a tragic climb up Mount Everest. His latest film, the Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton-starring Apex, is coming to Netflix at the end of April, but the streamer will soon be getting his other great survival thriller to tide you over in the meantime: Beast, which is coming to Netflix on April 7.
