
A new report on Netflix‘s Monster Season 4 suggests that the streamer has found a familiar face to play one of its lead roles yet again.
What is the latest Monster Season 4 cast news?
According to a report from Nexus Point News, Charlie Hunnam has been tapped to play the role of Andrew Borden, Lizzie Borden’s (Ella Beatty) father. Hunnam is no stranger to the world of Monster, as he’s also set to play serial killer Ed Gein in the third season of the show.
Outside of his role in Monster, Hunnam is best known for his lead role in the hit FX series Sons of Anarchy, as well as projects like The Lost City of Z, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Pacific Rim, and more.
Alongside Hunnam, Season 4 of Monster will be led by Ella Beatty, who will play the role of Lizzie Borden in the series. Vicky Krieps and Rebecca Hall will also star in the series in currently undisclosed roles. Production on Season 4 of Monster begins this fall, with Max Winkler set to direct the first episode.
Borden’s story has become one of the most infamous and well-known true crime stories in American history. The story of Borden has been depicted several times in media as well, with various books, television shows, and movies having come out covering the story.
The first season, The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, starred Evan Peters as the titular figure, while the second season, The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, starred Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch.
The upcoming third season of the series is titled Monster: The Original Monster, and will focus on Ed Gein. The role will be played by Charlie Hunnam, with Laurie Metcalf also attached to play Gein’s mother Augusta, Tom Hollander playing film director Alfred Hitchcock, and Olivia Williams playing Hitchcock’s wife, screenwriter and film editor Alma Reville.
