On September 5-6, Breakaway Mass returns for its second run, promising a weekend where the Bay State comes alive with pulsing beats and nonstop, high-energy dance music that will make you wish it could go on forever.

The venue is surrounded by private parking lots that charge anywhere from $10–30, depending on other events happening in the city. Make sure to check each lot’s closing time to ensure your vehicle does not get locked in.

Breakaway Mass 2025 – Accessibility

Breakaway Mass is committed to supporting all members of the dance music scene. Visit the official Accessibility FAQ for more details on the festival’s accessibility services and accommodations for those with disabilities.

Guests with service animals will be screened by a member of the access team upon entry. After screening, your animal will receive a special band on its collar or harness to help staff recognize it and ensure smoother movement throughout the festival. No documentation is required for service animals, except for canines, which must carry valid proof of current rabies vaccination with them or with their handlers at all times. Breakaway Mass – Dos and Don’ts:

Prohibited Items

Bags larger than 14x6x14, including backpacks Professional camera equipment: detachable lenses, tripods, battery packs, large commercial video cameras, or GoPros Totems Umbrellas Individual glow sticks Chairs (including foldable and lawn) Seat cushions with backs Tents Aerosol cans, spray paint, or pressurized cans Frisbees or sports balls (soccer balls, footballs, etc.) Air horns Glass containers of any kind Selfie sticks Remote-controlled aircraft or unmanned aircraft systems (drones) Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to knives, pepper spray, stun guns, concealed weapons, or firearms (regardless of concealed carry permit) Food or beverage of any kind Illegal drugs, substances, or harmful chemicals Marijuana and medical marijuana Laser pointers, spray paint, or silly string Fireworks of any kind, including but not limited to flares, smoke bombs, incendiary devices, or pyrotechnics Whistles Hoverboards Any item that can be used as a projectile or deemed as dangerous by the festival organizers No pets (except for service animals)

Permitted Items

Food for a medical condition such as diabetes or allergies Bags 14x6x14 or smaller; no backpacks or large bags (subject to search upon entry) While Breakaway does have a bag policy, they make exceptions for diaper bags. These bags do not have to be clear and can be larger than the listed requirements of 14x6x14. Diaper bags should be soft-sided and have no locked compartments. They will be subject to the same respectful security screening as other items. The same will apply to breast pumps. Flags with no poles Empty hydration packs, clear of all liquid and no more than two total pockets (one reservoir and one additional pocket), no larger than 14x6x14 1 Empty Reusable Water Bottle per person (must be transparent plastic and no larger than 1 liter) Non-aerosol sunscreen, bug spray, deodorant, hand sanitizer, and wet wipes (small/travel size) Feminine hygiene products Glowing or illuminated costumes or jewelry Cigarettes (unopened packs only), vapes, Juuls and other electronic smoking devices Hula Hoops (including LED hoops), LED whips, poi and orbitals, gloves, microlights, and flow lights Blankets, yoga mats, sheets, towels, and moon mats Ponchos Misting fans (small) Earplugs Prescription medication must be in the pharmacy bottle with a current and valid prescription stating: your name, medication name and dosage. The name on your valid ID and the name on the prescription bottle must match. You can only enter the event with sufficient medication for one day. Medications that need to be inhaled are allowed only by prescription and must meet the same requirements listed above. An example of this would be an inhaler.
