After Mattel proved to be a major player in the modern film market with Barbie, the potential for other adaptations felt endless. This month, Mattel Studios teams up with Apple TV to deliver the latest in the growing catalog of film adaptations in the form of Matchbox: The Movie. Scheduled to hit the streamer on October 9, this action comedy is directed by Sam Hargrave, who served as Second Unit Director for Season 2 of The Mandalorian, and written by David Coggeshall, and features Barbie alum John Cenain the driver's seat.
