HBO's Harry Potter remake is yet another reminder that Warner Bros' Fantastic Beastsfranchise has failed. The upcoming TV show now has a trailer and a premiere date (Christmas Day 2026), which makes the whole thing feel a bit more tangible than before. We are really and truly getting a brand new adaptation of J.K. Rowling's best-selling saga, and it genuinely looks as if HBO has done all it can to make the new Harry Potter book faithful. It's something to be excited about, but it's also another nail in the coffin for Fantastic Beasts.
