Cara Delevingne says she and Amber Heard “were entangled” during Johnny Depp court case

Cara Delevigne has revealed that she and Amber Heard were romantically involved while the latter was going through a divorce with Johnny Depp.

Heard and Depp were married from 2015-2017, having dated since 2012. Their divorce sparked a prolonged legal battle which ended with Depp winning a defamation case against Heard, following her penning an op-ed which accused him of domestic abuse. Depp denied all claims made against him, while the jury found that Heard’s statements about her marriage were “false”, and that she acted with “actual malice”.

While not formally mentioned in the trial, Delevigne was subject to media rumours that she had an affair with Heard. While appearing on The Louis Theroux Podcast, she addressed the stories about their relationship, and Depp’s jealousy toward her.

During the podcast, Theroux brought up the claim that Depp was “driven crazy by the idea” that she and Heard might be sleeping together. “Am I meant to comment?” the model and actor replied. “It’s because we did a movie together, and it was called London Fields. He was also doing the movie. I think he was pretty driven crazy by jealousy. Nothing was happening at that point. Later, after they divorced, it had, I suppose.”

Pressed further, she revealed: “We were close for a long time, and then when they were going through the divorce, yeah, we were entangled, I suppose. But she was also entangled with other people.” When Theroux suggested Heard was also “entangled” with businessman Elon Musk at the time, Delevigne replied: “There you go”.

Elsewhere in the interview, she recalled a conversation with disgraced former film executive Harvey Weinstein about her sexuality. “Harvey Weinstein called me up and said, ‘Are you gay?’” she recalled, before revealing he told her “You’ll never make it in the industry if people think you’re gay.” “And I really believed him,” she said, “and I really took that to heart.”

In April, Cara Delevigne joined Renee Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion to recreate their viral “Lesbian Bodyodyguards” picture at Coachella.
