The sci-fi horror series From is set to make its Netflix US debut on Monday, October 19, 2026. The move brings the MGM+ original to a significantly wider audience as the production cycles toward its final chapter.

This licensing agreement between Amazon MGM Studios and Netflix is viewed as a strategic effort to capitalize on the “Netflix Effect,” where library titles often experience a massive surge in viewership upon joining the platform’s catalog. By introducing the mystery-box thriller to millions of new subscribers now, the studio can build momentum for the series finale scheduled to air in 2027.

Seasons Included in the Netflix Launch

While initial speculation suggested the entire four-season run would be available, the licensing deal currently covers only Seasons 1 through 3. This means Netflix subscribers will have access to the first 30 episodes, while the most recent Season 4 remains exclusive to other platforms for the time being.

Season 4 originally premiered on MGM+ in April 2026 and concluded its 10-episode run in June. Keeping the most recent season off Netflix initially allows MGM+ to maintain a level of exclusivity for its current subscribers while still using the earlier seasons as a powerful recruitment tool for the upcoming series finale.

Production Status of the Final Season

MGM+ has confirmed that Season 5 will serve as the conclusion to the series. Production for the final season is currently active in Halifax and Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia. Filming is scheduled to wrap on November 27, 2026, which aligns with a projected 2027 premiere date for the show’s conclusion.

The series, which stars Harold Perrineau as Boyd Stevens, follows the residents of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps everyone who enters. As the unwilling inhabitants fight to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest—including terrifying creatures that come out after sunset.

The arrival of From on Netflix follows a pattern of Amazon MGM Studios licensing specific titles to the streaming giant for short-term promotional windows. This strategy has previously been used with various catalog titles to drive interest in broader franchises or upcoming final seasons on their native platforms.
