On the Wednesday, August 27, episode of Young and Restless, teasers indicate that Nate (Sean Dominic) makes a confession to Devon (Bryton James). Meanwhile, Lily (Christel Khalil) is reminded of her past with Cane (Billy Flynn), and Nick (Joshua Morrow) does damage control with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has just learned from Cane that his huge plan for Genoa City is being called off, and now Phyllis needs to figure out what her next move is going to be. She has hitched her wagon to Cane, a decision it looks like she has reason to regret.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) knows that his father is planning to deal with Cane, so he probably has a clue about what Phyllis is going through — and that it may very well be his family’s fault. Given that Phyllis is the mother of his daughter Summer, Nick will want to mitigate the fallout from her spinning out over this. Will he be able to?
Nick and Phyllis have a long history and have seen each other through some extremely rough patches. She has been holding onto working for Cane as her way out of her last rough patch — being fired by Billy at Chancellor Industries and then being held against her will with Sharon. Can Nick say something to make Phyllis feel better?
Cane (Billy Flynn, l.) pays a visit to Billy (Jason Thompson). Cane knows Billy is counting on him to help get Chancellor Industries back and invest in Abbott Communications instead of Jack. Cane has told Phyllis he’s calling off his entire plan, but where do things stand now with Billy?
It appears that Billy is taking things pretty well as the two talk over drinks. Will Cane confide in Billy how he has been bested by the great Victor Newman? Billy certainly knows what that is like and was hoping for Cane's help to pay back The Mustache for all he's done to him. Will these two work together to do just that now that Cane has his own reason to be furious with Victor?
Sally (Courtney Hope) returns home and sees Cane already there with Billy, clearly in the middle of an important discussion. Will she leave the two men alone to discuss things in private, or will she join their conversation?
Are things with Abbott Communications — the company Sally is supposed to be running for Billy — completely up in the air now, or has Billy already solidified funding for the new business? Sally left a great job with Summer to work with Billy. She needs to know what is happening with her future.
Sally meets with Audra (Zuleyka Silver) at Crimson Lights. These two have a lot to catch up on, especially since Audra has joined Sally at Abbott Communications. Are they discussing where they plan to take the new company?
Audra has also watched her personal life with Nate completely blow up, leaving her struggling to pick up the pieces. Is she confiding in Sally how it all went down? Will Sally be able to keep from telling her friend she warned her to not risk her relationship by working with Victor?
