Young and Restless alum Sean Carrigan played Ben “Stitch” Rayburn, a doctor and a father, when he was in Genoa City. Now, the actor is a father in real life! Carrigan and his fiancée, Jazmin Tempske, welcomed their first child, a daughter, on August 25. Via his personal rep, the actor happily reports that both mother and daughter are doing great!
Isn’t She Lovely?
It was almost exactly three months ago that Carrigan announced they were expecting in a post on his official Instagram. Using a cheeky photo of himself wearing boxing gloves alongside Tempske, who showed her swollen belly, he wrote, “Knocked Up – Susan Maxine Carrigan…August 2025.”
Now, the couple’s beloved child is here, and they’ve named her Susan Maxine Carrigan.
Carrigan first joined Y&R back in 2013 as an old Army buddy of Dylan (Steve Burton, now Jason, GH). During his time in Genoa City, his character was romantically involved with Abby (Melissa Ordway), her mother Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Abby’s aunt Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Stitch was written off the show in 2017 after things fell apart with Abby, in no small part due to the fact that his troubled son, Max, caused Abby to miscarry. Carrigan returned for a brief stint four years later in 2021, during which time it was revealed that Stitch, too, was quite troubled — he kidnapped Mariah (Camryn Grimes) when she was pregnant with Abby’s and Devon’s (Bryton James) son, Dominic!
The actor has appeared in NCIS: Hawaii, Everyone Is Doing Great and All American as well as the films Grace Point and the upcoming film Demonetize.
Soap Opera Digest sends congratulations to Carrigan and Tempske on their new addition.
