‘You F—ing Little Worm’: Roseanne Barr Fires Back at Michael Fishman Over Show Cancellation Comments

Roseanne Barr has responded to Michael Fishman after the former Roseanne star said the sitcom’s 2018 revival was “rightfully canceled.” The comments have renewed the dispute between the former co-stars, who have continued to disagree over the circumstances surrounding the show’s cancellation. Barr addressed Fishman’s remarks during a recent podcast appearance.

Roseanne Barr has criticized Michael Fishman after the actor said the cancellation of the 2018 Roseanne revival was justified. During an appearance on the Can’t Be Censored podcast, Barr called Fishman a “little f***ing worm” and accused him of not understanding the controversy that led ABC to cancel the sitcom.

Barr was asked about Fishman’s recent comments supporting ABC’s decision. She immediately rejected his interpretation of the controversy, saying, “He f***ing doesn’t even f***ing know what I said, even though I’ve explained it 10,000 times for nine years on the Internet.” She continued, “He hasn’t even taken the time to listen to what I say because he’s a bigot. And he’s a brainwashed bigot.”

Barr also recalled an earlier conversation in which she said Fishman asked her to explain the controversial post. Describing what she told him at the time, Barr said, “I told him, ‘Let me explain this, Michael, go and f*** yourself and stay f***ed ‘till the day you die. Don’t put my name in your f***ing mouth, shut the f*** up,’” recalled Barr. “‘You are an ignoramus and a bigot, and you have no idea what I said because it contradicts the Democrat party platform that you’ve had shoved down your throat and up your ass. So just f*** you. You have no geopolitical context whatsoever to discuss what I said.’”

Barr then referred to Fishman’s departure from The Conners, the spinoff that continued the franchise after ABC canceled the revival. “Go f*** yourself, you little f***ing worm. And I’m glad they fired you because I was the only reason you were ever on that show. They wanted to get rid of you in the reboot, and I made them take you back,” she said.

Fishman played D.J. Conner, the son of Barr’s character, in the original Roseanne series and returned for its 2018 revival.
