Woody Harrelson & Simu Liu’s Remarkable Survival Movie Hits Hulu Today

Hulu is expanding its library with the addition of a hit survival thriller movie starring Woody Harrelson and Simu Liu. Following its debut, the 2025 film received a Fresh score of 79% on Rotten Tomatoes, while its Popcornmeter rating is higher at 91%.

Beginning today, 2025’s biographical drama movie Last Breath is available to stream on Hulu. In the film, Harrelson plays veteran deep-sea diver Duncan Allcock, who was the one leading the rescue operation. He remotely guided Liu’s character, Dave, to track down the location of the rookie diver whose umbilical line got cut from their ship. The film also starred Finn Cole as Chris Lemons, Cliff Curtis as Captain Andre Jenson, MyAnna Buring as Hanna, and Mark Bonnar as Craig.

“A heart-pounding film that follows seasoned deep-sea divers as they battle the raging elements to rescue their crewmate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface. Based on a true story, the movie is an electrifying story about teamwork, resilience, and a race against time to do the impossible,” reads the official synopsis.

Last Breath was directed by Alex Parkinson, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Mitchell LaFortune and David Brooks. The film served as a remake of Parkinson’s 2019 documentary of the same name. It was produced by David and Paul Brooks, along with Hal Sadoff, Norman Golightly, Jeremy Plager, Stewart le Maréchal, Al Morrow, and Anna Mohr-Pietsch.
