Batman/Wonder Woman: Truth, from writer Jeph Loeb and artist Jim Cheung, is a remarkably simple story that shines in the internal monologues of Wonder Woman and Batman as they reflect on one another, as well as Cheung’s gorgeous artwork. But while it is neat to be able to revisit DC’s Batman: Hush era, Batman/Wonder Woman: Truth is a sobering glimpse at how some comic book writing conventions, particularly as they pertain to depictions of women, are better left in the regrettable annals of history.
