The Boys‘ showrunner, Eric Kripke, recently spoke about whether Marie Moreau from Gen V might actually be the most powerful hero and whether she could kill Antony Starr’s Homelander. Jaz Sinclair plays the role of the protagonist Marie Moreau in Gen V, which is the spin-off of The Boys. Season 2 of this popular show drops on Amazon Prime Video on September 17, 2025.
How Gen V’s Marie Moreau could kill Homelander
The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke recently hinted that Jaz Sinclair’s Marie Moreau might be the most powerful hero in The Boys’ universe, and could possibly take down Homelander.
Season 1 of Gen V saw Moreau surviving a full optic blast from Homelander easily. However, the showrunner’s comments suggest that the two would cross paths again in The Boys Season 5. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kripke stated, “If she can control everybody’s blood, then what can’t she do? How is she not the most powerful superhero on the planet? Just because she has the potential to be, doesn’t mean that she is.” He added, “It felt like a very organic adolescent problem, which is these expectations are placed on you to be this truly great thing, but you’re not quite ready to step up to be truly great.”
Kripke also said that “There’s a lot in Gen V that really helps set up the climax of this final confrontation in The Boys.”
Speaking about a possible confrontation between Moreau and Homelander, Sinclair expressed her excitement to see that become a reality. She said, “I just like that she’s an underdog, and I like that she’s a Black woman, too. This super sexist, patriarchal bad guy. I would love to see him get his ass handed to him by a Black woman.”
The Boys Season 5 has wrapped production and is speculated to arrive in 2026.
