Hallmark’s TV Everywhere streaming app has officially shut down on March 31, 2026. The free app that previously let cable and satellite subscribers log in with their provider credentials to watch Hallmark content is no longer available on Roku, Fire TV, or Google TV. While the news has left fans shocked, Hallmark has addressed the reason behind this decision.

Hallmark Channel officially shuts down its TV Everywhere app

In a new development, Hallmark has officially shut down the Hallmark TV Everywhere app, which allowed cable/satellite users to log in with their provider credentials and access content from Hallmark.

Being a free app that gave access to an immense library made this very popular among fans of the channel. Moreover, it functioned on a wide range of devices, including phones, tablets, Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, and other similar streaming devices.

As per Parade, Hallmark stated that rising costs to operate across dozens of device ecosystems, paired with declining engagement, were the reason the company decided to pull the plug on the app.

Notably, Hallmark is not the first company to do this. Disney, Paramount, NBC, and Warner Bros. have also made similar moves in recent years. This is seemingly an attempt to consolidate viewers under one single digital platform.

For instance, Hallmark still has Hallmark+. This means that users who are subscribed to the platform will continue enjoying Hallmark’s massive catalog. The subscription currently costs $7.99 a month (or $79.99 a year).

Meanwhile, for those who do not want the additional subscription cost, all three major channels from Hallmark, namely Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Mystery, and Hallmark Family, remain fully operational at this moment. These channels are available through traditional cable or satellite packages.

Hallmark continues to boast a wide range of mystery and holiday films, alongside acclaimed shows like When Calls the Heart. Unfortunately, for viewers who relied on Hallmark TV Everywhere, this is the end of an era. Most fans will continue to look for a workaround now.
