While Stella first brushed it off as unnecessary, Alexis quickly realized Stella had altered paperwork and changed dates on insurance claims.

Though Stella insisted she only did this seven times to help patients avoid bankruptcy, Alexis made it clear that it counted as insurance fraud, a federal crime. Stella explained that she believed she was protecting people who had paid their premiums in good faith. She even admitted she helped Martin when his insurance lapsed.
