When the incident was reported to the police, they suspected that Khloe Wilson was behind the cyberbullying act. Wilson didn’t have a good relationship with Licari, which made her the obvious suspect.

The two were receiving 40-50 messages a day. To make it worse, the person sending these messages was using an app to change phone numbers. This posed a tough challenge for the cops when they tried to trace the number.

Wilson’s name came up when one of the texts led to a basketball game, which matched her match results. Things got worse when the two started receiving texts from a Florida number, the place where Wilson’s parents took her on a small trip. Following the events, her father, Craig Wilson, a police officer, encouraged her to hand her phone over to the forensics. The results showed no connection between Wilson and the harassment, but by then, her reputation had already taken a hit.

In 2022, the FBI discovered that the real culprit was Lauryn Licari’s own mother, Kendra Licari. She had been impersonating Wilson and others to frame her.

So, where is Khloe Wilson now? She graduated from high school in May 2025. She wanted to play college volleyball, but her name is no longer listed on the team roster.
