Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black will launch its third season on August 27. Perry announced the premiere on Instagram, posting, “AUGUST 27th! We’re back for Season 3!”

The platform dropped several first-look images showcasing Taylor Polidore Williams and Crystle Stewart in character. The series also secured a fourth season renewal after earlier reports suggested the show would wrap with Season 3.

Perry serves as creator, director, writer and executive producer on the drama centering on two women with contrasting lives. Kimmie (Williams) faced hardship after her mother forced her out, while Mallory (Stewart) built a successful enterprise. Their paths become deeply intertwined through family dysfunction and high-stakes conflict.

The second season followed Kimmie’s evolution from a vulnerable outsider into a relentless figure driven by revenge. She embarked on a mission to save her abducted sister from a family concealing a trafficking operation beneath a beauty empire. That arc culminated in an intense showdown between Kimmie and Mallory.

The third season finds Kimmie earning her spot at the Bellarie family table. However, a violent internal feud forces her into an unexpected alliance with Mallory. The pair must navigate blackmail, vengeance and long-hidden truths as the family fractures from within.

Returning cast members include Amber Reign Smith, Debbi Morgan, Xavier Smalls, Julian Horton and Ricco Ross. Richard Lawson, Steven G. Norfleet, Terrell Carter, Bryan Tanaka and Charles Malik Whitfield round out the ensemble.

Angi Bones and Tony Strickland produce for Tyler Perry Studios. Viewers online celebrated the swift gap between seasons.
