
Two men were arrested on suspicion of rape in Birmingham city centre early this morning.
A man in his twenties was reportedly attacked near Ladywell Walk, where officers responded to a call at around 7.45 am this morning.
Police said the suspects, aged 29 and 52, are being held on suspicion of rape following the city centre incident.
They remain in custody, and an investigation is ongoing, with a police cordon visible by a doorway.
Officers were seen standing by the crime scene, while two police cars were spotted this morning.

A police spokesman said: ‘Two men aged 52 and 29 have been arrested on suspicion of rape following an incident in Birmingham city centre.
‘The man is being supported by specialist officers. Our investigation is at an early stage and the two men arrested remain in custody.’

Earlier this month, three men were arrested on suspicion of sexual offences, including rape, after a teenage girl was assaulted at a park in south-west London.
Police were called to Fishponds Park, Surbiton, as a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and administering a substance with the intent to commit and sexual offence.
A 35-year-old man and a 36-year-old man were also arrested, each on suspicion of rape, sexual assault, and administering a substance with intent to commit a sexual offence.
A 41-year-old was arrested on suspicion of rape.
Three of those men have now been charged, and the teenage girl was being supported by specialist officers.
