In the past few years, the superhero genre has seen a slump, call it superhero fatigue, dilution of franchises, or simply waning interest. But while some films are saved on the small screen thanks to streaming numbers or by word of mouth, like Blue Beetle, while others get the sheer wrath of fans, like The Flash. Among the latter is Jared Leto-led Morbius, which was a part of Sony’s now-defunct franchise of Spider-Man-based characters, and has now found a new home.
