Travis Kelce Speaks For The First Time About 'Crazy' Wedding To Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce has broken his silence on his lavish wedding with music icon Taylor Swift.

Last month, the NFL star and Grammy-winning singer went all out with their big day, renting out the New York venue Madison Square Garden for a wedding thought to have been attended by around 1,000 guests.

Famously, the two pulled out all the stops when it came to privacy, reportedly making everyone in attendance sign a personalised NDA, and forbidding phones on the day.

However, speaking to reporters at his American football team’s training camp, Travis did have a few things to share about the special occasion. 

“It was kind of cool to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, being able to get married there,” he enthused (via BBC News), describing the “crazy” ceremony and reception as the “best night of my life” and “full of celebration”.

During the exchange, he also referred to Taylor as his “wife” for the first time, while describing how she was able to attend a basketball game at Madison Square Garden right before their wedding while he was “stuck in a mini camp”.

The Independent reported he added that, now the celebrations are behind him, he’s turning his attention back to “football, baby”.

No photos from Travis and Taylor’s wedding have been released, and details of what went on over the course of the day have mostly been kept under wraps.

What we do know, though, is that the bride and groom tied the knot in a ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler, and had their brothers serve as best man and “man of honour” in the absence of bridesmaids and groomsmen.

There were also a number of musical performances at the reception, from acts as wide-ranging as Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Knicks, Haim and Avril Lavigne.
