1917's The Gulf Between was the first film made in Technicolor, but it wasn't until 1932 that three-strip Technicolor was invented; from then on, color fully invaded motion pictures. Ever since, plenty of movies have taken full advantage of the beauty and vibrancy of color. These are films that aren't interested in realism or minimalism; they want to invade the audience's eyes with as many hues as possible.
