“The Spiderwick Chronicles: A Giant Problem” by Tony Diterlizzi & Holly Black

I finished reading this one today. We see Nick and his step-sister Laurie again but now we’re adding Nick’s older brother Jules along with Jules’ girlfriend Cindy to the mix. Instead of dealing with one giant, this band of kids now has to deal with a whole bunch of them. They have to figure out what to do with all the giants before they set Florida on fire. The kiddos seem to get along better in this book versus the previous book.

Synopsis: After his last tangle with the magical creatures in his stepsister’s field guide, Nick is looking forward to kicking back and beating Laura at video games. But when even more fire-breathing giants begin to wake up, it’s out of the frying pan and into the fire for the two siblings. Can they stop the giants before they destroy all of Florida?
