You might be familiar with broadening, a masturbation technique adored by 87% of women, but it turns out there’s a niche way to practice it that turns men on simultaneously.
The technique involves dry humping a surface so you’re stimulating your entire vulva, but one woman has shared a rather unexpected surface she wishes to ride.
She has a friends with benefits arrangement going, and wants to use his upper arm to grind on.
‘He has developed his arms like crazy,’ she said. ‘He looked good before, but the other day I saw him sweating and his arms were just…
‘So, the next time we hook up, would I be weird if during foreplay I just position the kitty and start grinding on his bicep?’
Posting on Reddit, she added that she’s going to ask if he’s okay with it and then she intends to ‘lick the area clean’. Other women we’re quick to back her up.
‘Can relate,’ wrote one. ‘You’re not weird at all. [It’s] pecs and hips for me.’
‘Forearms over here, baby,’ added another. And, when she questioned if it was ‘too weird‘ from a male perspective, the answer was a resounding no.

Here’s what the men had to say…
There was nothing but enthusiasm for what men dubbed a ‘bicepsual’ act in bed.
‘You would not be able to deflate my ego,’ wrote one. ‘I’d literally be bench pressing skyscrapers,’ joked another.
‘It’s weird as hell on the surface but it’s something that, if it happened to me, I would literally never forget it,’ said one guy.
‘I would get over finding the request a bit odd very quickly with how good this would make me feel about my body and all the work I’m putting into it,’ someone said.
Others simply labelled it as ‘so hot’ or ‘flattering’, and honestly, it’s not as uncommon as you might think.
The bicep appeal
‘This isn’t weird at all,’ psychosexual therapist Becky Crepsley-Fox tells Metro. ‘Grinding against a partner’s body is something I hear about a lot, and a bicep is just one more place to do it.’
The obsession with the bicep isn’t new either, with 1.8million TikTok posts dedicated to the body part, and videos of young women seductively eating sushi off their boyfriend’s flexed arm muscle.
‘The allure of a bicep can work on a few levels,’ Becky explains. ‘Masculinity is appealing for some people, and a big bicep is a representation of that.
‘Others might imagine it’s a penis, in which case the size might add to the appeal.
‘On a practical level, the girth of a bicep is likely to feel good to grind on because there’s a large surface area. If it’s tensed, it’s also a nice firm surface to rub against.’
Why can grinding like this feel so good?
As we mentioned, grinding on your sexual partner’s bicep is a type of broadening.
‘That essentially means covering a larger area of the vulva to stimulate more nerve endings, rather than focusing touch on one specific spot such as the clitoris,’ Becky says.
‘Many women actually prefer broadening to penetration, since most can’t orgasm from penetration alone and need clitoral contact.
‘The continuous clitoral contact from broadening feels good, and because she’s the one doing the grinding, she’s in control of the movement, speed and pressure.
‘Mentally, there’s less pressure too. It isn’t goal-focused in the way penetration can be, and using a technique your body already knows makes it easier to relax into.’
How to put it into practice
Honestly, there’s not much to it, simple discuss it with your partner to see if they’re open to it, and if you get the green light, climb aboard.
Becky suggests having your partner tense their arm and keep it still so you set the pace.
‘Straddling it while he’s lying down or sitting gives you the most control,’ she explains. ‘Start slowly and tell him what feels good.
‘You might want to keep clothes or underwear on to avoid chafing, or use lube if you’re naked.’
Other than that, get ready to inflate your partner’s ego and have a great orgasm.
