One of the most striking things about the Biden years was the proliferation of...idiosyncratic..."public servants" and, in particular, how obviously their presence was shoved in our face. We went from being asked to tolerate "idiosyncracies" when they were expressed in private life (which seems fair) to embracing the authority of "experts" who clearly hate us.
