The Best War Movie of Every Year of the 21st Century

If you want to go back and look at how important war movies have been to the history of cinema, there’s the Oscars, and the fact that the first Best Picture winner was the World War I film, Wings. And then the third winner was the first film adaptation of All Quiet on the Western Front, which was also a war movie. That won at the start of the 1930s, and then at the end of the 1930s, World War II broke out, and to skip over a lot of history, there’s been some kind of major war being fought somewhere (or multiple places) in the world ever since.
