Groundhog Day is the giving tree of story templates when you consider how often Hollywood has repurposed it across all genres and forms of media. From the slasher genre with Happy Death Day to rom-coms with Palm Springs, and even TV with Supernatural's"Mystery Spot" and the Nickelodeon TV movie, The Last Day of Summer, the premise is, fittingly, one that's easy to repeat. Even this year, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die had a similar premise, but with the added caveat of it being from the point of view of the people around the main character experiencing it for the first time.
