Colin Farrell has shared an exciting filming update regarding The Batman II. The actor will reprise his role as Oz Cobb/Penguin from the first film.
What is The Batman Part II filming update?
Farrell has said that production on the sequel is starting in a week. The actor will be there on set for about four or five weeks, even though Penguin apparently won’t have that big of a role in the movie.
“They start, I think, in a week… It’ll be an amazing set to be on,” said Farrell (via Collider). “The script, I’ve said before, and you know, I said it to you, it’s extraordinary. It really is. Matt is just so brilliant, and he just cares so deeply about the stories he tells. I will go fly to London in four or five weeks. I haven’t got much to do on it, but I’ll go for four or five weeks. I’ll be there for a few weeks. I’m so excited to see it as a fan.”

The Batman Part II will be set during winter, bringing a new look to Gotham City. The film’s set videos have also teased a new Bat logo, which fans speculate might be teasing one of the sequel’s villains, similar to its working title.
The ending of The Penguin saw Cobb kill Victor and take control of Gotham’s underworld. According to a recent update, The Penguin may also be getting a second season, which will likely be set after The Batman sequel.
Details for the film’s story are being kept under wraps, though some of it is being teased by the casting of Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson. Stan has previously teased his mysterious role in the film, which fans speculate could be Harvey Dent/Two-Face.
The Batman Part II is scheduled to release on October 1, 2027.
