The Acolytebecame one of Star Wars' most controversial projects, but it also had a profound impact on Star Wars movies and TV shows, particularly the prequel trilogy era. The Acolyte was set in the High Republic Era, approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, and was therefore expected to have some effect on the prequels.
