Honestly, biopics can play things a bit too safe. That’s actually understating things. To push a bit further, the biopic genre might well be the least ambitious and most conventional, at least overall. These are films that focus on one person, or one part of a person’s life, and there’s always an attempt to condense whatever timeframe is focused on down to a manageable two hours or so.
