Stephen King is one of the most prolific authors ever, churning out literary bangers across six decades. However, the '70s and '80s were his heyday, producing classic after classic, from Carrie to The Shining and It. Indeed, these two decades cemented his legend and confirmed him as the most prolific horror writer of modern literature. Yet, his 21st-century output is strong and interesting, too, if not quite as iconic or flawless.
