A sequel to Taylor Sheridan's critically acclaimed neo-Western thriller Wind River has been in the works for quite some time now, without a firm release date in sight. Sheridan has no involvement with the movie, which features several actors who've worked with him before. He did, however, return to write a follow-up to his breakout movie, which preceded Wind River by several years. The sequel wasn't quite as successful at the box office as the original film, but both have emerged as massive hits at home, on the PVOD and streaming markets. Amid reports of a third installment, the second film was recently added to Tubi's free streaming library in the United States.
