Taylor Sheridan's Longest-Running Western Series Makes Yellowstone Look Tame

Over the course of his career, Taylor Sheridanhas built a television empire around the American West, and his longest-running Western show isn't the iconic Yellowstone, which looks tame by comparison. His approach to the Western genre has never been limited to traditional cowboy stories, which is what makes Sheridan's lens such an interesting vantage point. Rather than focusing on the standard tropes of Westerns, the mastermind behind revitalizing the genre hones in on the intense emotions of family feuds, territorial disputes, and the brutal realities of ranching in a specific, modern way to bring the genre into today's world.
