The Yellowstone universe remains one of the richest television universes. It all started in 2018 when Taylor Sheridan's hit neo-Western began airing on the Paramount Network. While the show flew under the radar for the first several seasons, it later exploded in popularity and became one of the most-watched TV shows at the time. Paramount later expanded the universe with prequel spin-offs that traced the Dutton family's origins in Montana. Yellowstone ended in 2023, and the spin-offs were not meant to run for many seasons.
