Three months after ABC canceled Taylor Frankie Paul’s The Bachelorette season, the network is reportedly reconsidering. A new report claims the shelved episodes could have a release date set soon.

TMZ reported that discussions are underway within ABC about resurrecting the canceled Season 22 of The Bachelorette. Sources claim editors never actually downed tools after the cancellation. They carried on cutting the footage, which means a finished product could already be sitting waiting in the network’s library. That decision reportedly kept the door cracked open for a reversal.

The network scrapped Taylor Frankie Paul’s season in late March, after a 2023 video leaked, showing the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star supposedly throwing barstools at Dakota Mortensen, her then-boyfriend, while her daughter was there. Three months on, the legal picture has seemingly changed.

Prosecutors passed on filing domestic violence charges in April. Then, earlier this month, a Utah judge removed the supervision requirement from Paul’s visitation arrangement with her son. ABC also reportedly commissioned audience testing to see if those developments have softened public opinion enough to greenlight a broadcast.

Furthermore, the scheduling part works in the season’s favour, too. ABC has already shelved Bachelor in Paradise for 2026, pushing the beachfront spin-off to 2027. That clears the network’s traditional late-July slot, possibly for Paul’s episodes.

Other signs also appear to point toward movement. Paul is said to have made efforts to repair strained relationships with her Secret Lives of Mormon Wives castmates, while sources allege Mortensen features nowhere in the finished season (via Cinemablend). She has also been open about her journey on Instagram. With the production team’s work reportedly already done and the calendar wide open, it appears the decision rests on ABC’s reading of viewer appetite.

As of now, the network has made no official comment on the release date or reprisal of Season 22 of The Bachelorette.
