Tatiana Maslany cracked open the door on her MCU future during a recent interview, but only just. The She-Hulk star revealed there’s exactly one creative box that needs ticking before Jennifer Walters smashes back onto screens.

Tatiana Maslany has revealed the one condition required for her return as She-Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to ScreenRant. The actor explained that any future story must reflect contemporary issues to suit the character’s distinctive voice.

Speaking with ScreenRant for Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, Maslany described the character’s future as open-ended. She suggested Jessica Gao remained the right person to address the character’s trajectory.

Maslany stated her return depends on relevant subject matter. “It would have to be something about the world now because that’s She-Hulk’s power, is seeing what’s happening and sort of calling it out,” she told ScreenRant.

The actor elaborated further on the creative direction. “That to me feels very open-ended. I do feel like Jessica Gao would be the person to ask about that because she just has such a grasp on the tone of that show and the story of that character. But I do think whatever it is would have to be talking about what’s happening now,” Maslany said.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premiered on Disney+ in 2022 across nine episodes. Mark Ruffalo reprised Bruce Banner in three episodes throughout the series. The show retained the comic book character’s fourth wall-breaking trait, predating Deadpool’s similar approach.

Marvel Studios has not confirmed a second season. The first season faced review bombing alongside criticism of the CGI rendering. Earlier this year, rumors suggested Maslany had been fired from Marvel Studios, claims she rejected as “disgusting.”

She-Hulk currently has no confirmed role in Avengers: Doomsday, releasing later this year, or Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027. Maslany has recently appeared in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and voiced a role in Invincible.
