Filmmaker Craig Gillespie has confirmed that DC Studios’ upcoming “Supergirl” film will include a post-credits sequence.

Speaking with Collider, Gillespie confirmed that the film’s current runtime is clocking in at just under 110 minutes (1hr 50mins) with credits, around 20 minutes shorter than Gunn’s “Superman”.

Asked if he could tease the film’s post-credits scene, the filmmaker replied: “I can’t tease that, sorry.”

At present, the assumption is that it will be a scene teasing next Summer’s “Man of Tomorrow” film, which began shooting two weeks ago in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Australian actress Milly Alcock (“House of the Dragon”) takes on the role of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in the film which is based on the “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” limited series comic by Tom King.

In the film, Supergirl (Alcock) travels across the galaxy to celebrate her 21st birthday with Krypto the Superdog. When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.

Also starring are Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Jason Momoa as Lobo, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze and Alice Hewkin as a Sklarian Raider.

“Supergirl” opens in cinemas everywhere on June 26th.
