Marvel finally introduces the child of the X-Men's most powerful mutant, and they seem to be playing a key role in the fate of the entire multiverse. Although mutants owe their wide variety of superhuman abilities to the X-Gene, many mutants in the Marvel multiverse possess abilities that are far removed from their physical bodies' skills. Telekinesis, elemental manipulation, teleportation, technopathy, and even shapeshifting break the logic of a biological mutation and instead suggest much more complex ties to the fabric of the Marvel Universe.
