Stephen King has more than earned the nickname of the master of horror. Over the last half-century, his books have dominated the genre and pop culture, and many have been turned into equally popular movies. Carrie, The Shining, Misery, and IT are just a few that come to mind. King has conquered the small screen as well with the likes of Salem's Lot, Castle Rock, the IT miniseries, and his own version of The Shining. According to Rotten Tomatoes, there have been, at minimum, a whopping 29 TV adaptations of King's work. For our money, the best is also the newest, because none is better than HBO Max's IT: Welcome to Derry.
