Snoop Dogg is apologizing kinda sorta after his comments about the same sex kiss featured in Pixar’s Lightyear received backlash online.

Snoop Dogg Says "My Bad" Over 'Lightyear' LGBTQ Comments As Screenwriter Defends "Representational Effect" https://t.co/moTpCfXLk7

— Deadline (@DEADLINE) August 30, 2025 “I was just caught off guard and had no answer for my grandsons. All my gay friends [know] what’s up, they been calling me with love. My bad for not knowing the answers for a 6-yr-old. Teach me how to learn. I’m not perfect.” Snoop says.

Snoop previously claimed to be “scared to go to the movies” after watching the film. On a podcast the rapper said, “I didn’t come in for this shit,” ranting, “Y’all throwing me in the middle of shit that I don’t have an answer for… It threw me for a loop. I’m like, ‘What part of the movie was this?’ These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.”

Lightyear features a same-sex kiss between Alisha and wife Kiko, which resulted in the movie being banned from theaters in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.
