Sid Has Really Worked Hard On It: Shah Rukh Khan On King

Shah Rukh Khan knows exactly how to keep his fans on their toes. The superstar returned to X on Tuesday, September 15, for another round of #AskSRK, and naturally, most questions revolved around his much-awaited actioner King. From the scale of the action to the film’s music and the seemingly endless wait for a trailer, SRK had plenty to say, while still keeping the biggest surprises under wraps.
When a fan asked if the action in King would be bigger than Jawan, Shah Rukh was quick to praise director Siddharth Anand and the effort that has gone into the film. “Yeah action is very big and Sid has really worked hard on it. But I hope the emotions and comedy appeal to you all also.” It is an interesting tease for a film that has largely been discussed for its action and scale.

And yes, the wait is getting to fans. Asked about the delay, SRK admitted, “Sid toh bechara laga hua hai. Late bhai hain…taking time to put our best foot forward so u all enjoy it and feel proud and happy with #King.”

The actor also offered a glimpse into the film’s post-production process. Responding to a question about Red Chillies Entertainment’s VFX work, he wrote, “Troubling RC Vfx a lot. Sitting on Harry and Keiten head to deliver the best. I think they might ban me from coming to the office late nights soon.” Clearly, perfection comes with a few late nights.

Music lovers got a tiny update too. When a fan asked him to release a song, SRK revealed, “Kar deta Abhi Arijit dada ko finishing touches dene hain. He is a perfectionist and takes some time rightfully.” So, an Arijit Singh song is seemingly on its way, eventually.

For everyone desperate for a trailer, Shah Rukh offered a cryptic reassurance: “Everything will come…before 24th Dec.” King is scheduled to arrive on December 24, 2026, with Siddharth Anand at the helm and a cast that includes Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.

And if this #AskSRK session is anything to go by, the wait may be long, but the King-sized hype is very much alive.
