Sharvari and Vedang Raina set to reunite for Imtiaz Alis next romantic drama

The on-screen chemistry between Vedang Raina and Sharvari in the blockbuster Main Wapas Aaunga won widespread appreciation, leaving audiences eager to see the duo together again. It now appears that wish could soon become a reality. According to reports, the two actors are set to reunite for another romantic drama to be directed by Imtiaz Ali.

 A Fresh take on romance 

Vedang played a naive, young boy deeply in love with a heartfelt, an innocent acting style, whereas Sharvari portrayed Jiya, who represents hope, memory, and home with grace. While Main Wapas Aaunga revolved around an elderly man with dementia revisiting a Partition-era love story, Imtiaz Ali's next is said to explore romance through a completely different lens. A source close to the development revealed, "Imtiaz is nearly done writing the script and has begun the casting process. Bringing Vedang and Sharvari together again was one of his key creative decisions because he believes they naturally fit into the world he has created. From a trade perspective too, the pairing is expected to generate strong buzz as both actors are currently in demand." If everything proceeds as planned, the makers are expected to announce the project officially in the coming months, with filming likely to commence in December.

Imtiaz Ali returns to familiar emotional terrain 

Known for crafting deeply emotional love stories, Imtiaz Ali has built a reputation for exploring themes of identity, longing, self-discovery and emotional healing. His films often combine romance with deeply personal journeys, making relationships a catalyst for transformation. With Vedang and Sharvari reportedly coming together once again, the filmmaker is expected to revisit these signature themes while presenting an entirely new story. The project is currently in pre-production, with the team expected to begin location scouting and complete the technical preparations ahead of the shoot.
