Between Irving (John Turturro) exposing Helena Eagan (Britt Lower) and Gemma (Dichen Lachman) possessing multiple innies below the severed floor, SeveranceSeason 2 is brimming with dramatic moments that prove the Apple TV+ series hasn't sacrificed quality for quantity. One of the most talked-about moments is still the second season's opening. Featuring a long tracking shot that gives audiences a first-person glimpse into Mark S's (Adam Scott) desperate dash through the corporate labyrinth of Lumon, the show's hallway running sequence immediately thrusts viewers into the frantic mindset of its main character. That said, as much as this sprint exceeds the expectations set by Season 1's own distinct cinematography, there's actually another scene in Season 2 that does an even better job of showcasing Mark's inner turmoil and Severance's clever writing.
