As reported by Deadline, the new season recorded those views over four days following its debut. In comparison, Season 3’s The Ed Gein Story received a similar number of views over a shorter debut period. On a similar note, Season 2’s The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story got 12.3 million views in four days.

The numbers make it clear that Netflix subscribers continue to tune in to the anthology series, though it seems to be struggling to surpass a certain viewership threshold. According to Netflix, the latest season has already surpassed 80 million views, despite backlash over its violence.

The new season of Monster retells the story of Lizzie Borden, who was tried and acquitted of murdering her father and stepmother in 1892. The season marks the first time a female subject has led the show.
