In just one week, Ridley Scott is officially returning to theaters and IMAX with the release of his new post-apocalyptic epic, The Dog Stars. Scott has enlisted some notable names to star in the film, including Josh Brolin (Sicario), Jacob Elordi (Euphoria), Margaret Qualley (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood), Guy Pearce (Memento), and even Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange). The Dog Stars will mark the first sci-fi movie Scott has directed in almost 10 years — he last helmed Alien: Covenant in 2017, which also served as his final time directing an Alien project. He remains involved with the franchise as a producer, but he’s decided to focus on directing other things at this point in his career. After recently directing historical epics like Napoleon (starring Joaquin Phoenix) and Gladiator II (starring Denzel Washington), Scott has zeroed in on a remake of Treasure Island as his next feature film.
