The Las Vegas Raiders have their new quarterback.
Veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins is joining the AFC West club, according to multiple reports citing agent Mike McCartney on Thursday.
Cousins was released by the Atlanta Falcons last month after just two seasons with the team on a four-year, $180 million contract.
Cousins will reunite with Klint Kubiak, who was an assistant coach during their time together with the Minnesota Vikings. Kubiak left the Seattle Seahawks to be the head coach of the Raiders after winning the Super Bowl.
The Raiders released quarterback Geno Smith in March, less than one year after he joined the team in April 2025 in a trade with the Seahawks.
Las Vegas owns the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and could select 2025 Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza out of Indiana.
