Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.Reform UK have fallen to third place behind the Tories for the first time in two years, according to a top pollster.
YouGov found that support for Nigel Farage’s party is now at just 21%, down another point in the last week.
That puts them 2 points behind the Conservatives, who have gone up 3 points to 23% in the wake of their party conference in Birmingham.
The Tories are now just a point behind Labour, who are down 3 points to 24%.
Anthony Wells of YouGov said the Conservatives were benefiting from a “conference bounce”.
He added: “It may well be a temporary Tory boost, but for the record it means this is the first time that we have had Reform back in third place since 2024.”
It is a further blow for Reform leader Nigel Farage, who has seen his party’s popularity slump in the wake of the row over a £5 million gift he received from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne shortly before he became an MP in 2024.
Parliament’s standards commissioner is investigating Farage’s failure to declare the cash in his MP’s register of interests.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Police has also launched a probe after a Channel 4 undercover sting appeared to show senior Reform officials trying to solicit an illegal donation from an American supporter.
Reform were mocked last week after an internal party probe cleared the two officials, Dan Jukes and James Orr, of any wrongdoing.
