99 Nights in the Forest
20th Century Studios has hired Josh Cooley (“Toy Story 4”) to pen the live-action adaptation of the Roblox-hosted video game “99 Nights in the Forest”. Grandma’s Favourite Games developed the title.

Horror legend Sam Raimi and frequent producing partner Rob Tapert are on board as producers. The action-survival game has players enduring 99 nights in a haunted forest while attempting to rescue four lost children and fight the vicious creatures inhabiting the deep woods. [Source: THR]

Noah Baumbach
“Marriage Story,” “Jay Kelly” and “The Squid and the Whale” filmmaker Noah Baumbach is moving shop, signing a three-year, first-look agreement for features at Warner Bros. Pictures.

The auteur has had a long exclusive pact at Netflix which is now coming to an end. He will write, direct and produce the new film which will get a wide theatrical release through the Warner Bros. Clockwork label and is said to follow two college students in New York City. [Source: Variety]

Seeker
Adam Carter Rehmeier (“Carolina Caroline,” “Dinner in America”) has signed on to direct the Michael Learner-penned darkly comedic thriller “Seeker”. Oscar winner Adam McKay, actor Noah Centineo, two-time Emmy nominee Todd Schulman, and both Enzo Marc and Alex Lebovici will produce.

The story follows Grant, a man haunted by the unexplained disappearance of his fiancée five years earlier. Now an Uber driver, his life is upended when he picks up a passenger he becomes convinced was responsible for her disappearance. [Source: Deadline]

Control: Resonant
Remedy Entertainment has released the launch trailer for the upcoming “Control Resonant” which will be the largest scale title from the developer to date at 30 hours to complete the main story and 50 hours for completionists.

The 2019 original “Control” game was around 17 hours for its main story and 29 hours for completionists while “Alan Wake 2” was 26 hours main story/32 hours completionist. “Control Resonant” will be released next week on September 24th. [Source: Tech Radar]
