PS Plus users across all three tiers are able to download a recently released PS5 game for free, and it’s unclear if this is a genuine offer or a PS Store glitch. The title in question is racing game CarX Street, which released back in July.
PS Plus users in several regions able to download 2025 racing game CarX Street for free
CarX Street’s PS Store page currently shows a 100% discount for PS Plus members in several regions including Europe/U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and India. In the U.S., CarX Street’s page still displays its full price of $29.99.
I have a U.K. PSN account with a PS Plus Essential membership, and can confirm that I was able to claim and download the full game.
It’s currently unclear if this is a glitch or intentional. If the offer is genuine, it’s possible that CarX Street’s store page in the U.S. will be updated sometime during the day on Wednesday. If this is a glitch, then we expect Sony to revoke licenses from everyone who has managed to download CarX Street for free — something it has done in the past in similar situations.
