Privacy concerns? States sue DOT, DHS over CDLIS records
Nearly half the states are suing the U.S. Department of Transportation and U.S. Department of Homeland Security over what they allege is the illegal seizure of millions of truck drivers’ personal data. Specifically, 21 states and the District of Columbia filed a suit against the DOT and the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, and 22 states and the District of Columbia are suing DHS.
